Three Japanese smoking sets, kiseruzutsu (pipecase) with kiseru and tabako-ire (tobacco pouch), Meiji period (1868-1912), the pipecases lacquered or in bamboo, each pouch with a copper mae-kanagu of a Buddhist lion, two quails and two birds, 21.5 to 23cm (3) Provenance: The Trevor Barton Collection. Condition report: Leather worn to all pouches. Lacquer wear to one on the collar of the case. See further images.
