A collection of Chinese ceramics, Song dynasty (960-1279), comprising: a small bowl, the exterior moulded with stiff leaves, covered with a degraded qingbai glaze, 10.1cm diameter, a saucer dish, of six-lobed form, covered with a slightly degraded qingbai glaze, 10.2cm diameter, a bowl, of lobed circular form, incised with florets, covered with qingbai glaze, with a 'JOHN SPARKS LTD, 128 MOUNT STREET W' label, 16.2cm diameter, and a Ding ware dish, of shallow form with ribbed decoration to the sides, incised with a peony spray, metal mounted rim, with a 'D Jacob' label, 12.5cm diameter (4) Provenance: The D M Jacobs Collection. 宋 定窑牡丹纹碟 及 青白釉小碟及碗 Condition report: Qingbai saucer - rim restored and chipped. Qingbai small bowl - glaze flakes revealing the pottery body, chips to foot rim. Qingbai large bowl - broken in pieces and glued. cracked, chipped to rim and foot rim, some pieces missing. Ding dish - overfired.
