The Martin Robert Morland CMG (1933-2020) collection of Chinese ceramics - a Chinese blue & white bowl, underglaze blue Jiajing 6-character mark and of the period (1522-1566), painted with four figures in a continuous landscape, the interior painted with a standing sage, 4.75ins. (12.1cms.) diameter. Provenance - purchased from Sir Michael Butler, spring 1978, and with remnants of Marchant & Son label.
