A private collection of Chinese cricket cages and related items - a 19th century Chinese gourd cricket cage of moulded waisted form, deeply carved with five Buddhistic lion cubs, two playing with brocade balls, the zitan cover with seven ivory lined apertures, with zitan collar, 4ins. (10.2cms.) high. Provenance - purchased from Honeychurch Antiques, Hong Kong.
