Two miniature Chinese red underglazed vases dating from the 19th century. The mallet vase features 2 figures and has a 6-character mark on the bottom, the other vase features 2 figures under a tree and has a 4-character mark on the bottom. Dimensions: mallet vase- 4 inches tall X 2 1/4 inches wide; 10.2 cm tall X 5.7 cm wide. All measurements are approximate. Condition: Both are in good condition. Provenance: From Mrs. Hillebrand in Chicago. Her father-in-law purchased these items in China and Hong Kong between 1935 and 1970.
