Large silk imperial altar panel Chinese, Guangxu period dated 1875 of gold and burgundy ground, set with mirrored mounts and embroidered with rock work, butterflies and peonies . Set within a blue and black border embroidered with 'antiques' and having inscription which reads En Mu Hung Tzu, and also dated in gold thread which states 'On the ninth year on the first day of autumn an auspicious day Guangxu became chief or head', the backing hand painted in the manner of Chinese wallpaper, 244cm x 217cm
