Altar table / sideboard (Qiaoto´an, China, 18th / 19th century, probably pinewood. Feet slightly flared on the front side. The fronts of the long legs with fine relief carving with a pendentif carried by a bat with Buddhist symbols. Below the table top is a passively curved, wide bridge with archaic ornament relief. Directly under the top is an openwork gallery with lotus tendril. Table top made of 5 long planks, the sides slightly raised with an element. The wood has a warm honey color, the surface is matt glossy, slightly polished, 132 x 232 x 52 cm
