Pair of Chinese Bronze Figural Groups of Foreigners , probably early Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), each modeled in mirror image, one riding a Buddhist lion and the other astride an elephant, possibly in imitation of Manjusri and Samantabhadra, rectangular plinths, h. 8 1/2 in., w. 4 1/2 in ., d. 2 5/8 in. Provenance: Property of the Mobile Museum of Art, sold to benefit their collections, care and acquisitions fund.
