郎窑红釉为康熙时仿明代宣德宝石红釉名品，历代均认为乃时任江西巡抚的郎廷极兼理景德镇御窑厂时所烧红釉器，故名“郎窑”。其色鲜红，如初凝牛血，乃清代色釉名品，素为藏家所重。拍品呈钵盂式，形制硕大规整，且颈间凸饰一道弦纹，凝雅别致，颇为少见。炉内施白釉，釉下可见米汤色开片，外壁罩施郎窑红釉，釉面肥厚光润，呈色浓艳均匀，口沿露白色“灯草边”，垂釉近足，足际无釉，正所谓“脱口垂足郎不流”，具备康熙郎窑红的典型特征，可堪珍赏。北京故宫博物院藏清《美人图·鉴古》中，可见博古架上陈设一白釉弦纹钵式炉，其形制、装饰手法与拍品颇为相类，可资参阅。
