青花竹石芭蕉玉壶春瓶始烧于明代永乐时期，清代官窑仿烧，均属于宫廷陈设用器。惟自乾隆时期开始制式化特征明显，尺寸缩小，颈部逐渐粗短，下腹部变大，纹饰描绘工整但呈图案式布局，失去明初制器的秀雅灵动。雍正时期此类瓶共两种，一类纯仿明代，据虎贲中郎之似；另一类为清式，但传器均少。此件颈部纤细，腹部圆润秀美，形制规整隽雅。自颈部向下分绘洞石蕉叶纹、卷草纹、如意云头纹、竹石芭蕉图与仰莲瓣纹。层次分明，纹饰精雅，青华渲染浓淡相宜，器形、纹饰既具明初遗风，又有雍正本朝之雅韵，实为难得之器。参阅：《故宫博物院藏清雍正青花瓷器》，故宫出版社，2017年，页164，图91。
