此碗敞口，弧腹，圈足，釉色洁净透亮。外壁绘画简笔祥云人物图，并有大面积留白，更显逸趣闲情。整器衣纹飘逸，简约生动，绘笔流畅，胎釉坚致，深、浅晕染，明暗有序，此种装饰技法为明代中期开始大量出现，至明代晚期就十分流行，本取古画之中“留白”之技法，以给人以极大的想象空间并突出主题。这也与明代中期流行的隐逸求仙，道教盛行的时代大背景有关。
