此瓶圆口，直颈，扁腹，圈足外撇，形似荸荠而得名。通体施茶叶末釉，釉质润泽，釉面润泽平净，釉色黄绿交映似茶叶细末，颜色素雅而深沉。整器造型典雅尊贵，线条柔美流畅，做工精细，是一件佳作。 茶叶末釉原名厂官釉，是清雍正、乾隆时期御窑厂督陶官唐英在明代磁州窑所产黑釉器物基础上的创新之作。唐英《陶成纪事碑》记载厂官釉品种有三：蛇皮绿、鳝鱼黄、黄斑点。后人习称鳝鱼青、鳝鱼黄、茶叶末。茶叶末釉呈色稳定，因失透而显庄严、沉稳；因窑变而形成黄绿变化，高雅精美。其属高温黄釉，经高温还原焰烧成，釉面呈失透状，釉色黄、绿掺杂，绿者称茶，黄者称末，古朴清丽，俗称“茶叶末”。
