Two Greek Votive protomes, 5th century B.C. Two identical terracotta votive protoms. Depicted are the head and upper body of a lady in chiton. Fine facial features. The head covered with a cloth (capite velato). The arms in a praying gesture in front of the chest. One protome complete, the dark surface rubbed in places. The second one broken and glued; with missing parts. Length 16 cm. Provenance: South German private collection. Condition: II - Zwei Votiv-Terrakotten, Griechenland, 5. Jhdt. v. Chr. Zwei identische Terrakotta-Votiv-Protomen. Dargestellt sind Haupt und Oberkörper einer Dame im Chiton. Feine Gesichtszüge. Der Kopf mit einem Tuch bedeckt (capite velato). Die Arme im Betgestus vor der Brust. Die eine Protome komplett, die dunkle Oberfläche an einigen Stellen berieben. Das zweite Exemplar zerbrochen und geklebt; mit Fehlstellen. Länge 16 cm.
