A Roman bronze statuette of Iupiter Optimus Maximus, 2nd - 3rd century The bearded Jupiter with the body of an athlete standing in the contrapost. The left raised, in the right a patera. Aesthetically charming full bronze casting. Beautiful dark-green patina. Socketed. Height 8.7 cm (7.8 cm without plinth). Provenance: From a private collection in southern Germany.
