Two Maya bowls, Guatemala, late classical period, 600 - 900 A.D. Bowl painted polychrome with two stylized cormorants. Two stabilized cracks from the rim to the bottom. Intact. Diameter 16.5 cm. Comes with a black bowl in the shape of a stylized pumpkin half. On the inside some sintering. Intact. Length 13 cm. Provenance: From a private collection in North Germany. Acquired before 1970. Condition: II - Zwei Maya-Schalen, Guatemala, Spätklassik, 600 - 900 Polychrom bemalte Schale, auf deren Außenwand zwei stilisierte Kormorane dargestellt sind. Zwei stabilisierte Risse vom Rand bis in den Boden. Intakt. Durchmesser 16,5 cm. Dazu ein schwarzes Schälchen in Form einer stilisierten Kürbishälfte. Innen mit Versinterungen. Intakt. Länge 13 cm.
