A pair of Chinese famille verte enamelled biscuit porcelain Buddhistic lion spill vases, Kangxi period, each recumbent beast modelled with front paw resting on a brocade ball, each supporting a square tapering vase to its back, height 17.5cm (one with minor restoration to rim, the other with section of back broken). Note: this lot is accompanied by an original purchase invoice and insurance valuation, dated 1st March 1966 and November 1965, from W. Waddingham Antiques & Works of Art of 10 Royal Parade, Harrogate. Buyer’s Premium 29.4% (including VAT @ 20%) of the hammer price.
