壁瓶因挂于壁面而名，又叫挂瓶、半瓶、轿瓶，还有称马车挂瓶的，是中国文物中一个特殊的分类。据悉，壁瓶造型源于唐宋年间，成熟于明代后期，兴于清代中期。此对壁瓶以紫泥为胎，呈葫芦形，瓶面加彩绘以山水图，形制优美，造工精细，为典型清早期文人书房雅器。
