Massive Silver-Inlaid Bronze Wine Vessel, 19th Century. This creative, artistically designed wine vessel has amazing and extensive silver inlay over virtually the entire body. The inlay is so fine that even this massive amount is still tasteful and subtle in appearance. A giant eagle among clouds and waves adorns one side while the other has primarily lively waves. The fierce dragon fish spout is inlaid with scales and other details. The handle atop his head allows the liquid to flow or stop as needed. The jumping fish handles on the side also have silver scales inlaid. The tip of the tail of one has a crack. The crouching temple lion lid finial is also silver inlaid with the outer portion of the lid inlay being geometrically patterned. This design also matches the base ring.
