参阅：《风华再现——明清家具收藏展》，国立历史博物馆，1999年，第175页。此箱顶部设提梁。门板整片前开门式，上侧边框装长方形面叶及扣锁，门板镶圆形面叶拉手，内置八屉。铜件皆是以平卧法镶嵌，工艺考究，与深沉的紫檀材质映衬美观。此种紫檀箱不易变形开裂，适于随身携带，旧时多作药箱使用，而如此精美小器亦可储藏珠宝印章等文房器物，具有较强实用性。
