Description

任伯年（1840-1896）浙江绍兴人。在上海生活近30年，成为海上画派领袖。任伯年是一位全能画家，花鸟、人物、肖像、山水无不擅长。卓越的天分、独特的审美观，加上出神入化的笔墨技巧使他笔下任何题材的作品都显得意趣盎然，耐人寻味和富有新意，推动了传统人物画和花鸟画向前发展，艺术大师徐悲鸿称赞其为“一代明星”、“仇十洲以后中国画家第一人”。作品问世一百多年来一直是海内外书画市场上的“宠儿”，成为众多收藏家争购的艺术珍品。1887年绘《六法大观》二册刊行。作品被国家文物局确定为“原则上不准出境”之文物。
