尉天池（1936-）安徽省砀山县人。1960年毕业于南京师范学院中文系，1960年在南京师范学校（今南京师范大学）美术系执教书法，1986年晋升为书法教授。曾任日本文部省1986年度特聘书法教授，执教于国立爱知教育大学书法系。1985年起，任硕士学位书法研究生导师、日本书法留学生导师。先后师承沈子善、林散之先生。现为中国书法家协会顾问、江苏省书法家协会主席。
