洪汝源，湖南宁乡人，字毅夫，号莲坞，光绪八年壬午（1882）科举人，光绪十八年壬辰（1892）科进士，入翰林，散馆授检讨；曾任四川绥定府知府，檄署保宁，辛亥革命后当选县议会议长。十岁能诗文，存《盘泉山馆诗钞》；山水仿三王，能作巨幅，不失古法。《益州书画录附录》
