Alfred Hair, Historically significant Alfred Hair painting. Recovered and restored from the Smiley's antique mall fire in Micanopy Florida in January of 2017 where hundreds of antiques and Highwaymen paintings were damaged or destroyed. Restoration of this painting was commissioned to Ahmed Eltemtamy, who is an accomplished Indian river school artist and conservator. After removing the smoke damage, Ahmed conserved and restored much of the heat damaged sky. In keeping with the tradition of masterful restoration as seen on the Colosseum and Pantheon, Mr. Eltemtamy replaced the destroyed Loblolly pine in the center with a Poinciana to provide an unmistakably unique characteristic intended to define restoration without replication.
