Pair of Meiji Period Silver Mounted Cloisonne Vases, squatty form with narrow neck, depicting sparrows in flight above turbulent seas, on a midnight blue ground, one vase with nine birds and the other with eight, with applied copper top and base rims, 7 1/2" high, 4 1/2" diam. One vase has a small dent at top rim and a small abrasion to side, both have small cracks and abrasions extending from base edge.
