Attributed to Christopher Dresser (1834-1904) for James Dixon & Sons, a three piece electroplated tea set c.1880s, stamped marks for James Dixon & Sons, JD & S and EP, and 2266, further marked CF, teapot numbered 5, sugar bowl numbered 3 Comprising:- a teapot with hinged lid and bone insulators, a twin-handled sugar bowl, and a milk jug, each with engine turned decoration and raised on ball feet Teapot 18.5 cm high (3) Overall general wear, old marks and a few indentations, with some rubbing and wear to plating. Interiors with aging and wear. Cover hinge to teapot is good. Some tarnishing and blistering to one handle of the sugar bowl with indentations to the handles. Can see impression of the ball feet from the inside of the sugar bowl. Wear to underside of ball feet in keeping with age.
