此琴为三连珠式，琴体饱满，木质古旧，栗壳色漆，内罩朱砂，牛毛断，蚌徽。长方形龙池与凤沼。琴底颈铭“春雷”，内填金粉描绘。此连珠式古琴，从其琴面的蛇腹纹来看，非数百年不能呈此妙象，古意盎然。整体形制古朴典雅，做工精良，张弦试音，三准俱佳，低音浑厚凝重，深若晨钟，古朴性渺，松透悠扬。钤“合肥龚氏瞻麓斋记”章。表明此琴、出身名门，流传有序。
