郎窑红釉为康熙时仿明宣德宝石红釉的品种，过去一直认为是郎廷极督陶时所烧，故名“郎窑”，其色如初凝牛血一般鲜红浓艳，乾隆御制诗中曾有“世上朱砂非所拟，西方宝石致难同”的吟咏，乃清代单色釉中的名品，一直为藏家所重视。 本件器物器型秀美端庄，亭亭玉立，修足干净利落，胎质洁白细腻，符合早期郎窑红的特点。
