A bronze oil lamp with open top and square-section nozzle, loop to the rear with tongue-shaped thumbpad, the thumbpad with punched ring-and-dot detailing and balustered neck; both of the sidewalls with incised rosette and interlaced quatrefoil motifs, separated by a band of scrolls. 124 grams, 15.2cm (6"). Property of a London gentleman; previously acquired on the UK art market in the 1990s; formerly in a 1980s collection.
