Circa 1400 AD. An iron rondel dagger with sharply tapering blade, lozengiform in section with two cutting edges; the guard formed as a discoid plate, with notched rim and silver inlaid initials to the underside reading 'FL'; the grip square-section, the pommel a plate with notched rim; the tang peened over the pommel and decorated with a sunburst.
