9th-10th century AD. A bronze ring with keeled hoop expanding at the shoulders, hatched panels to each side of the raised bezel, intaglio motif of a cross within an annulet and inscription '+EOMER', reminiscent of the inscriptions on mid-Saxon pennies. 8.82 grams, 25.40mm overall, 20.06mm internal diameter (approximate size British O 1/2, USA 7 1/4, Europe 15.61, Japan 15) (1").
