A bronze square-headed brooch with rectangular openwork plate, punched crescent border and central pointillé cross motif, deep bow with discoid plaque with punched decoration, oval plaque beneath with pierced lateral extensions, horse-head footplate; pin lugs and catchplate to the reverse. 26 grams, 94mm (13 3/4"). Property of an East Sussex, UK, teacher; previously with a Suffolk, UK, gentleman; formerly in the collection of a North London gentleman.
