Early 6th century AD. A large bronze radiate-headed bow brooch with D-shaped headplate and concentric circular patterns, radiating lugs to the upper edge, shallow bow with vertical ribs; a tongue-shaped footplate with concentric circular patterns; pin-lugs to the reverse with remains of ferrous pin and spring, catch and dorsal rib. 59 grams, 14.5cm (5 3/4").
