12th-late 15th century AD. A mixed group of nineteen artefacts of various dates, mainly copper-alloy, comprising: a substantial purse bar with collared swivelling arms, domed finial and tear-shaped loop below; a smaller double-D-shaped swivel fitting; a hollow-form finial with flanking curled 'lobes' and diagonal grooves running vertically around the body; rectangular, curved frame buckle with five rabbets on two sides, rectangular-section strap bar (1400-1500 AD); a rectangular book clasp with pierced end, pontillé decoration and collared terminal; cross crosslet mount; a chape or strap fitting with naïve geometric decoration to one face; two small casket keys; two ring brooches without pins, featuring raised circular cells, originally set with enamel or stones; a five-pointed star-shaped spur rowel; a finger ring with D-section hoop and oval-shaped bezel bearing the incuse letter J surrounded by barley; a lead disc with pellets and lines, pierced; a hinged and articulate clasp with domed outer faces, a 'hook' to the interior of one and traces of gilding; a bifacial lead seal with raised design to one face presenting a human figure between two standards, possibly imitating Roman coins, hook to reverse, attached to a second lead disc which possibly bares a raised inscription; a lead seal with discoid face bearing enigmatic design, squashed loop to reverse; a small, vesica-shaped lead seal with central design and legend, lug handle a raised design on reverse; discoid lead seal inscribed with 'S'CRISTIN' for Christina with central floral design. 187 grams total, 17-56mm (3/4 - 2 1/4").
