A substantial ceramic oil lamp of Leibngvut type XXXVIII, with twin nozzles, discus with stylised bird with open wings and circular motifs, foliate design within raised border above; integral handle with lobed finial and foliate design; basal foot. 581 grams total, 20cm including stand (8"). Ex B. Friji, Cologne, and Arno Jumpertz, Leverkusen, Germany, 1924-1984; much of their collection was exhibited at Neus museum in 1985; accompanied by a custom-made stand and a historic photograph affixed to a collector's card with handwritten notes.
