Translation provided by Youdao
2nd-3rd century AD. A bronze finger ring with ellipsoid hood made of a band with semicircular cross-section, rounded horizontal shoulders and ellipsoid plate; inset pale-blue glass cloison, intaglio image of a horn, bow and arrows. Cf. Ruseva-Slokoska, L., Roman Jewellery, Sofia, 1991, item 229, for type.1.62 grams, 17.53mm overall, 14.81mm internal diameter (approximate size British F, USA 2 3/4, Europe 3.67, Japan 3) (3/4"). From a Dutch private collection; formerly in a European collection, acquired before 1980. The ring belongs to the type V of the Ruseva-Slokoska classification. Simple rings of this typology were widely diffused, and the dimensions of our specimen suggest that we have to do with a child ring. [No Reserve]
