A small ceramic pillow-shaped cuneiform tablet with impressed text to both sides, indicating that this tablet is a receipt for barley, accompanied by a handwritten scholarly note, which states: 'O. Ur III Barley Receipt. 37mm x 37mm. Ur III Period. The tablet is dated to the third year of the reign of King Shu-Sin, 2034 BC. This is the archetypal administrative document, sealed by the scribe overseeing the transaction.' 22 grams, 37mm (1 1/2").
