A group of four Chinese pierced jade plaques dating from the 18th to 19th centuries. The group contains: a circular plaque with ruyi motifs, a Greek key band, and a falun center; a circular plaque with two bats, floral motifs, and a ruyi quatrefoil; a pierced, circular plaque with a pair of lucky coins, a bat, and a pair of peaches; and a pierced white jade plaque with a lotus and a pair of fish. Dimensions are: The largest one with the lucky coins measures 2 1/4 inches tall X 2 1/4 inches wide, 5.7 cm X 5.7 cm. All measurements are approximate. High resolution images can be found here Condition: The plaque with lucky coins has a chip to one of the bat's wings. The plaque with fish has a small chip to one edge. All are in overall good condition. Provenance: From a collector in San Francisco, California.
