A pair of Chinese famille rose lidded jars with peonies and birds dating from the Republic period. Each has a 4-character mark on the bottom. Dimensions are: 11 inches tall X 6 inches wide, 27.9 cm X 15.2 cm. All measurements are approximate. High resolution images can be found here Condition: There is a hairline on the interior of one lid. There are glaze pops to the interior of one jar. They are in overall good condition. Provenance: From a private New York City collection. Purchased from the estate of Gerald Dan French, Cincinnati, Ohio.
