A rectangular Huanghuali altar table from the 18th century. The stretchers are connected to the simple apron by 6 square carvings of geometric creatures. It has round legs and interior spandrels. Dimensions are: 29 1/2 inches tall X 50 inches long X 20 1/2 inches deep, 74.9 cm X 127 cm X 52.1 cm. All measurements are approximate. High resolution images can be found here Condition: It has some age wear and there are water marks and abrasions to the table top. There are multiple areas of repair. Provenance: From an estate in the Washington, D.C. area. Family lived in China in the 1930s and 1940s.
