A Imperial Chinese "feng" shaped inkstone dating from the Qianlong period with wooden covers. The reverse features an inscription and three seals, and there is an additional 7-character inscription on the outside edge. Dimensions are: 4 1/2 inches tall X 4 inches wide, 11.4 cm X 10.2 cm. All measurements are approximate. High resolution images can be found here Condition: There is minor chipping and minor age wear. Provenance: From a private collection in Southern California. Reference: A similar inscribed 'feng' inkstone made during the Qianlong period sold at Sotheby's Hong Kong on June 2, 2016, as lot 79.
