An Austrian silver cased HaMelech Esther scroll, megillah, Vienna, c.1890, maker's mark JZ, the case with engraved, stylised foliate decoration highlighted with gilding and centred by a monogrammed cartouche, the crown top surmounted by a flower bouquet finial, the parchment with 32 lines to a column, some damage to the top edge of scroll at beginning (two tears), depth 13.4cm, case length (inc. winder) 30.4cm.
