Attributed to George Vincent, British 1796-c.1832- Norfolk landscape; oil on canvas, signed indistinctly with initials, 19.5x24.5cm Held in a gilded composition Louis XV style swept and pierced frame with green velour mounted slip, circa mid-late 20th century The reverse of the frame and part of the salvage is covered over with brown tape. The canvas has been relined circa mid-late 20th century. The wooden stretcher with single vertical cross brace member appears to be the original and bears old numerical stencil and chalk marks. The paint surface with two vertical bar marks centre and right The paint surface has been cleaned in recent years. Under UV light inspection there is evidence of heightening to the trees and trunks, and to the shrubs to the right. There are some small areas of retouching within the sky. Overall in good condition.
