A gold five stone graduated diamond carved head-style ring, five old European cut diamonds, all claw set between pairs of rose cut diamonds, set to a carved head-style mount with a plain polished shank, tested as approximately 18ct gold, 4.38g. Finger size R¼ Condition report: Surface reaching inclusions to some of the diamonds, and a slight chip to one. Wear to the claws. Shank appears to be a later replacement, slight cracks to each shoulder where the shank meets the shoulders. Porosity and hairline cracks to the head and shoulders in a number of places, we would recommend remounting the diamonds. Two claws to the centre diamond appear to have been retipped, possibly using soft solder.
