Condition report: Oil on a coarse weave canvas support which is unlined. The canvas tension is slightly slack and the vertical cross bar is now evident in the texture of the paint layer. In the upper right quadrant there is deformation and damage to the canvas caused by impact. There is also paint loss in this area. At the centre of the painting in the lower half there are localised areas of raised and flaking paint and some losses have occurred. There are age cracks in the thicker paint passages and some dark spots in lighter areas. The varnish is unevenly applied and has yellowed with age creating a patchy appearance across the work.
