RARE CHINESE UNDERGLAZE BLUE AND RED ‘BAJIXIANG’ PORCELAIN LOBED STEM CUP, QIANLONG / JIAQING PERIOD Decorated with the eight Buddhist emblems (Bajixiang). Conch shell, lotus flower, wheel of Dharima, parasol, endless knot, double fish, victory banner and treasured vase. Further decorated to the interior with scrolling lingzhi and lobed rim. Six-character mark of Qianlong in underglaze blue to inside of stem base. 16cm diam. x 11cm tall Provenance: Private English collection of Sir Mark Heath KCVO CMG (1927-2005), and thence by descent.
