TWO JAPANESE WOODBLOCK DIPTYCH PRINTS, UTAGAWA KUNISADA, LATE EDO PERIDO A diptych of actor as Kansojo, with attendant, Image of figure on a bull, by Kunisada (Katsushiaka, Musashi 1786-1864). A copy of the left-hand print held by the Harvard Art Museum of Applied Arts. Together with one other diptych ‘Yomoshichi Soto, Hikosaburo Bando’ by Kunisada – part of a large rare flip sheet print of one of Japan’s most famous ghost stories. Sizes approx. 33cm length x 23.5cm wide. (4) Provenance: English private collection of Eve Walber (née MacMilan-Scott) former partner in Waterstones, and thence by descent.
