明代 傳世的各類造像中，精品木胎造像大多已於晚清民國時期流失海外，加之歷史上綿延不斷的戰火和社會動亂，能留存至今的實為彌足珍貴。木胎造像遍佈中國各個地區，各地造像風格不同，形成獨自的地域特色。 此尊釋佛軀體渾厚，造型敦實，比例勻稱，動態舒展，線條流暢，身披法衣，結全跏趺坐，手執禪定印於臍前。螺發排列規整，塔形肉髻高隆，面龐圓潤，寬額高鼻，眉細目長，雙目垂視，嘴含微笑，顯現了佛陀超於凡俗的莊嚴和寂靜的圓滿法相。整像木雕呈現，衣紋採用漢地傳統的寫實手法，有較強質感。
