DESCRIPTION: A pair of clay terracotta sculptural figures by artist Clivia Morrison, depicts a male and female in minimalist execution, the figures mirror each other with one leaning forward and the other away. Each figure affixed atop rectangular acrylic bases, and have engraved signatures along the heel "Clivia". Clivia Morrison was born in Michigan in 1909 and is best known for her WPA-era sculptures and paintings. Her public works include the glazed terra-cotta sculpture "Children Reading" at Michigan State University in East Lansing. CIRCA: Mid 20th Cent.
