DESCRIPTION: (3 Pc) Indonesian hand carved wooden Barong masks, usually representing an unidentified creature called keket, who appears at times of celebration in Bali, Indonesia. For the Balinese, Barong is the symbol of health and good fortune, in opposition to the witch, Rangda (also known as Calonarang). CIRCA: 20th Century. ORIGIN: Indonesia. DIMENSIONS: Approx. H: 10" W: 9" and H: 17" W:12". CONDITION: Vintage condition. Some chips and cracks. See lot description for details on item condition.
