Imao Keinen (Japanese, 1845-1924). Two prints affixed to larger paper, one torn from backing sheet and one loose. Prints are of birds in their natural environments with text on left of print and top text trimmed off. Dimensions: Woodcut prints: 13 inches tall X 9 1/2 inches wide; 33 cm tall X 24.2 cm wide. Backing sheets: 18 3/8 inches tall X 12 1/4 inches wide; 46.7 cm tall X 31 cm wide. All measurements are approximate. Condition: Age yellowing of papers, one print torn at corners but still attached to backing sheet. Provenance: From a Northern Virginia collection.
